Embracing Life

Writer: Lubov LeonovaLubov Leonova

If you need to be alone with yourself and reflect on your feelings, this poem is for you

The sleeping town is silent,

It's wrapped in a blanket of snow.

My soul is quietly crying,

Unable to let you just go.

Maybe I'm just a human -

I learn by making mistakes.

With my head overwhelmed with rumors,

I open my heart to beliefs.

I walk through the darkness of sorrows,

Beckoned by shimmering light,

Hoping for better tomorrows,

Learning more about this life…

Maybe my heart will be broken

Another million times

But I will still keep it open,

Because love is what makes me alive.
