These are the words that every guardian must know by heart
Today, I take the oath to fight,
To carry hope through darkest nights,
Protecting every human being
From the injustice that I see.
Despite the hardship and the pain,

This poem was presented as a spell in The Academy: Detective Stories. It was read during the ceremony when cadets take an oath to protect innocent people from injustice. The ceremony is usually held after the completion of the second term, just before the future guardians go to their summer practice to help prevent crimes.
